Those accused of a crime may find it beneficial to remember that they will remainnocent until — and only if — proven guilty in court. However, prosecutors often attempt to submit various types of evidence against an accused individual during court proceedings, such as surveillance footage of the alleged incident. A 26-year-old man is currently facing accusations of armed robbery after a camera allegedly caught him in the act at a local convenience store in Georgia.

Authorities assert that a local convenience store was recently robbed by an individual who was in possession of a firearm. This person allegedly forced the cashier to open the drawer and stole an unspecified amount of cash, along with cigarettes and beer. According to reports, several other robberies have been committed recently at similar places of business, and police claim the individual in question may be responsible for those as well.

Police say that the latest robbery was caught by surveillance at the store, which allegedly led them to one man in particular. He was taken into custody following these events and is facing numerous charges in relation to them, including armed robbery and aggravated assault. The penalties for similar charges are severe, and if convicted, a person faces numerous potentially devastating consequences, such as a lengthy prison term.

Armed robbery is a serious crime, and those accused of such a violent act may find it beneficial to seek guidance as soon as possible. By speaking with an experienced attorney, one might obtain advice on the potential consequences and available options moving forward. A defense attorney can thoroughly examine the evidence against a client in Georgia and provide advice on the best course of action to take during court proceedings.
